Founded by Nathan G in 2015, The Prestige Standard runs a dedicated Northern Beaches division: the same named technicians, equipment, insurance and guarantee, working only on the peninsula.
Why a Northern Beaches division
Before founding The Prestige Standard in 2015, Nathan G worked for six years restoring heritage sandstone. What that work taught him is that most damage to good surfaces comes from contractors who bring a pressure washer to every job, so the business was set up to carry a different method, and the right equipment, for each material.
The Northern Beaches needed its own division because the peninsula asks more of those methods than anywhere else in Sydney. Salt on the ocean front, damp around four coastal lagoons, tannin and soft sandstone on the Pittwater side, and leaf and fire risk on the plateau each change the chemistry, the pressure and the cycle. Dedicating a team to the area means the people quoting your job have cleaned the same kind of home a few streets away.
We stay small enough that Nathan still scopes every substantial job, and we organise work into weekly runs by council ward so every suburb, from Queenscliff to Palm Beach and Duffys Forest, is covered most weeks.
Who you will deal with
Every technician holds a working-at-heights ticket and a police check. We do not use subcontractors.
Equipment for every surface
- Hot-water pressure rig with 21 to 30 inch rotary surface cleaners for concrete, aggregate and pavers.
- 12-volt soft-wash systems for render, painted brick, weatherboard and cladding.
- Biocides and acid-free stone chemistry for sandstone, limestone and travertine, plus reducing poultices.
- Water filtered to zero dissolved solids, fed through carbon-fibre poles, so glass dries clear without ladders against the walls.
- Water recovery units for car parks and sealed courtyards, plus drain mats, bunds and booms carried to every job.
- Harnesses, roof anchors and access to an elevated work platform for height.
We have never had a stormwater complaint from a council. On the Northern Beaches, where the drains lead to lagoons, Pittwater and beaches, that matters.
