Exterior cleaning in North Curl Curl

Headland Road's contemporary ocean-front homes with frameless glass and concrete, a broad belt of 1950s and 1960s brick homes rebuilt one by one, and lagoon-edge houses along Wyadra Avenue beside the wildlife refuge. Most of what we clean here dates from 1950s to 1960s, rebuilt progressively from 2000, on sandstone headland at the north end of Curl Curl Beach, sand flats toward Dee Why Lagoon.

We work around North Curl Curl rock pool and headland, Dee Why Lagoon Wildlife Refuge, Headland Road lookout and Abbott Road shops, on streets such as Headland Road, Carrington Parade, Abbott Road, Wyadra Avenue and Pitt Road. The defining exterior problem is salt-etched glass and pitted stainless on the Headland Road homes, and mould and lichen on the lagoon-side homes that never dry out.

Homes within roughly 500 metres of the surf. Salt arrives on the nor'easter every afternoon and on southerly storms in winter, so nothing stays clean by itself: glass hazes, render streaks, stainless pits and timber greys. We schedule these homes on the shortest cycles we run anywhere in Sydney.

Run-off. Anything washed off a North Curl Curl property ends up in Dee Why Lagoon and Curl Curl Beach unless it is stopped at the kerb. Northern Beaches Council enforces the NSW EPA rule that wash water, detergent and sediment stay out of stormwater, so we bund drains, capture run-off and vacuum-recover on sealed or commercial sites.
