What makes stone sealing different in Queenscliff is the heaviest salt loading on the peninsula, with glass hazing in days, rust bleeding from balcony fixings and black growth on the south walls of the Crown Road blocks. On the ocean front a breathable penetrating sealer keeps salt water out of the stone's pores, which is what stops the surface powdering; expect a re-seal every three to four years here.

A dense headland of 1930s flats and 1960s to 1990s apartment blocks on Crown Road and Queenscliff Road with direct surf exposure, Inter-war bungalows on the lagoon flat, and contemporary rebuilds on the Greycliffe headland. We work around Queenscliff Beach and the rock pool, Queenscliff Headland and the wormhole and Manly Lagoon mouth, on streets such as Crown Road, Greycliffe Street, Queenscliff Road and Pavilion Street.

Field note from Queenscliff. Queenscliff's Crown Road blocks face straight into the southerly; we have measured salt deposits on their glass heavier than anywhere else we work, which is why window programs here run on six-week cycles. Nathan G, Founder

Run-off in Queenscliff. This part of the peninsula drains to Manly Lagoon and Queenscliff Beach. On every Queenscliff stone sealing job the kerb inlets are bunded and rinse water is captured or sent to garden, as Northern Beaches Council requires.

In Queenscliff we usually recommend stone sealing a re-seal every 3 to 4 years, and the cycle is written on the quote.

Our method in Queenscliff

How we do it, and what we protect while we work

Sealing happens at least 48 hours after cleaning, once a moisture meter says the stone is dry. Sealer goes on with a low-pressure sprayer, is back-brushed into the surface, and a second coat follows when the product calls for it. Any excess is buffed off so no haze is left.

Breathable products only on sandstone and limestone
Excess removed to avoid haze
Pool and garden protected
Dry weather window confirmed

Google review · Sandstone Cleaning

I recently had my brick pavers cleaned by Prestige Standard and I couldn't be happier with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and paid great attention to detail. My pavers went from looking dull and stained to fresh and almost brand new again.
